Master Kate Malyon
Master Malyon’s martial arts journey began at the young age of 4. Her early passion blossomed into a lifelong pursuit of excellence, culminating in the founding of Yong Gi Do (YGD) in 2003.
Kate's unique coaching style is characterised by her exceptional ability to connect with her students. She’s not just a coach but a role model and a source of inspiration, guiding her students toward growth both on and off the mat.
Under her leadership, YGD has flourished over the past 22 years, growing into multiple locations. Kate’s emphasis on personal development, alongside physical training, ensures that YGD is about more than martial arts—it’s about transforming lives, one kick at a time.
Kate’s expertise is unparalleled, holding the following prestigious titles:
6th dan in Tang So Do
3rd dan in Combat Karate
1st dan in Kyokushinkai
1st dan in Judo
Our Instructors
All of our instructors and assistant instructors are trained by Master Malyon, who ensures each individual maintains a high level of expertise, passion and nurture. They all hold at least a "BMABA Level 1" instructor qualification, alongside martial arts specific training in both safeguarding and first aid.
